Zaccagnini produced Disney items from 1938-1955 (with a hiatus during WWII between 1939-1946), based on characters from the majority of the feature films released, beginning with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and ending with Lady and the Tramp. Other characters from various short subjects were also produced, with Donald Duck being especially popular. During that time they produced a wide array of items including figures (sometimes in multiple sizes), lamp bases, and kitchen accessories. Each figure was marked on the bottom with the stylized "Z" logo, along with the company stock number (a "W" followed by a sequential number). Early examples sometimes have the name "Zaccagnini" in script on the bottom as well. A paper label was also applied, but these are found infrequently. The stock numbers can wear off over time as they appear to have been applied overglaze rather than underglaze as with the logo. Foil labels have also been seen on very early figures.
All Zaccagnini figures are rare, and those from the later films spectacularly so. They do not appear to have been sold in the US, any that have been found here in the US were most likely purchased overseas and brought back as souvenirs.

Hi, I have just seen a photo of my bambi lamp on your blog. On the base it had a z with a scribble through it. It has the w.l. 88 & Italy. Very exciting to read the history behind my gorgeous lamp which I had as a baby. I am now 63 it has had a long journey regards Debra
