So this young guy came up to my booth, and showed a lot of interested in the vintage items I had for sale, especially stuff that I hadn't had a chance to put out yet. One of those items was an original promotional poster from Aeronca in WWII promoting the new Grasshopper aircraft. This image was later used in some magazine ads, but this was the original promo piece still in its original mailing tube from the Aeronca factory in Middletown, OH.
This guy then informed me that his great-grandmother was not only from Middletown, OH, but that she had worked at the plant during WWII! How cool is that? So of course he had to have it. I love stories like that.
