WWII Home Front Posters

I've collected home front posters from WWII for nearly 25 years, and I'm selling off the last of them on eBay.  Take a look and get 'em while you can!

It's a Pixie Party!

So we were doing a little rearranging of the kitchen cabinets today, and we decided to move the Pixies from the kitchen to the dining room.  Pulling them all out of the cabinets to take a look at them made this

Then we removed a couple of rows of dishes from the dining room shelves and made this.
Nice to see them out and about again, and I finally got to hang up the towel hook family.

Greek Melo Trading Card of Tinker Bell

In Greece in the 1960s and 1970s there was a chocolate company called Melo (or more properly Μὲλο), and they made a bunch of trading cards that were included in the bars of chocolate.  There was a large Disney set (over 150 cards).  This is the Tinker Bell card from that set.

Beautiful Animation Effects Drawing of Esmerelda from Hunchback

This has been in my collection for a very long time, and I hate to part with it, but as my collecting interests narrow, and I want to do more projects along those lines, sacrifices need to be made.
This beautiful effects drawing is from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, and is from the Hellfire musical sequence, featuring Esmerelda has the object of Frollo's desire.  It is a nouveau masterpiece and it is unlikely that another will ever come along in our lifetimes.  I have posted it on eBay with more details, I hope to see it go to a good home.

Goebel Visual Guide

As part of a new initiative I've set for myself, to provide visual guides for those collectible item that I have either collected or followed for some time, I have published on this blog the first of them:  The Vintage Disney Goebel Visual Guide.  It is in the sidebar to the right, and on a single page displays all the Goebel figures for which I have an image.  I'm missing six, if you have one of those six I would love a copy of the image.  More visual guides to come, and I will be expanding the Goebel one as well with additional figures.

Photos of the Little Golden Book Exhibit at the Arkansas State Capitol

The people at the Arkansas Secretary of State have generously sent me a bunch of photos of the Little Golden Book exhibit to which I contributed images of original Golden Book Catalogs and foreign Alice in Wonderland editions.  I encourage anyone who lives nearby or is planning a trip that passes through Little Rock, AR to stop by the exhibit.

New Alice Illustrated Book Project on Kickstarter

I don't usually do this on my blog, but the art in this book looks stunning.  Please check out the Kickstarter campaign and if you are so inclined, back it!
